The University of Minnesota campus spans the river. This is the main bridge that connects the halves. Cars go on the bottom and people on the top. The middle third of the top walkway is enclosed too.

On nice days there are lots of recreational boats on the river.

Here I decided to cross the river and head back up the other side. This is looking north. You can see downtown Minneapolis in the distance on the left.

This is the bridge I crossed on. I had to walk down a lot of stairs to get down to this path.
